Can I customize Orita's Engagement Level segments?

Yes! You can treat Orita engagement levels like you would any other segment condition to tailor segmentation to your specific strategy.

For example, in Klaviyo's segment builder, you can create a segment of Highly Engaged Purchasers as shown below:

You can also make distinctions between Explicit or Implicit Consent Segments.

Orita segments will include both implicit and explicit consent by default. To target only explicit subscribers, use the can receive email marketing BECAUSE person subscribed condition within Klaviyo's segment builder.

  1. Explicit consent - a profile has given explicit notice that they have opted in to receive marketing emails from you, most commonly from a newsletter / email collection form. Hence they have subscribed to your marketing communication, and Klaviyo reflects this on their profile.
  2. Implicit consent - a profile has given you their email address through a variety of methods (like abandoned checkout, made a purchase, submitted quiz response), but not explicitly opted into marketing consent. So while they’ve not explicitly ‘subscribed’, they are still emailable, with slightly elevated compliance and deliverability risk. Klaviyo denotes this as never subscribed on their profile.
