# How do Orita’s engagement models differ from Klaviyo RFM?

Orita engagement models and Klaviyo RFM are complementary! Think of it as Klaviyo telling you who they are, and Orita telling you what to do about it. [Read our blog post about it here](https://www.orita.ai/blog/smarter-segmentation-with-orita-klaviyo)

In Short:

- Klaviyo RFM tells you *who* your customers are - and it does it really well! - but not whether emailing them *today* will actually change their behavior.
- Klaviyo's predictive analytics estimate when someone is likely to buy again, but don't tell you whether marketing will influence that purchase. Orita answers that question, layering in real-time engagement signals on top of your existing RFM logic.
- Klaviyo RFM segmentation does not account for the profiles on your email list that have never placed an order (for most brands, that is ~60% of their list).
